Update #8 - 7/20/23
Another week, another treatment. Kara is tolerating chemo as well as could be expected. The cumulative fatigue is real, but she is pressing on.
This week we were able to spend some time with family, which was a wonderful respite. There is nothing quite like the comfort of being with loved ones during a difficult season.
Updates:
- Kara has two more rounds of chemo left in this phase
- After that, we will meet with the surgeon to discuss next steps
- Her white blood cell counts have been holding steady
We continue to be overwhelmed by the support we have received. Meals, gas cards, gift cards, offers to help with the kids — every act of kindness reminds us that we are not alone.
Please pray:
- For Kara’s body to continue to tolerate treatment
- For wisdom as we make decisions about surgery
- For our children to trust the Lord with their worries
- For our marriage to draw closer together
He is faithful.
