Update #6 - 6/22/23
We are now midway through Kara’s chemotherapy regimen. It is hard to believe how quickly these weeks have passed while simultaneously feeling like we’ve been on this road forever.
Good News:
- Kara’s tumor has already begun to shrink. This is an answer to prayer and gives us great hope.
- Her blood counts have remained stable, which means her body is handling the treatment.
- She has been able to continue caring for our family more than we expected.
Looking Ahead:
- Several more rounds of chemo remain
- Then surgery will likely be scheduled
- We are told immunotherapy may follow
Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for us and provide practical support. The meals, gift cards, and offers to help have been a tangible expression of Christ’s love.

- That the tumor continues to shrink
- For Kara’s physical and emotional strength
- For our girls, especially as summer break begins
- For clear communication from the medical team
