Update #3 - 5/25/23
Kara had her first chemotherapy treatment this week. It was an emotional and physically taxing day, but we are grateful to have started.
The nurses and staff at the treatment center were kind and made the experience as comfortable as possible. Kara tolerated the treatment well, though she has been fatigued in the days following.
Our girls continue to be a source of joy and encouragement. They have been helping out more around the house, and their love for their mom is so evident.
We want to thank each of you who have provided meals, gift cards, and other practical help. Your generosity has been a tremendous blessing to our family. It is such an encouragement to know we are not walking this road alone.
Please continue to pray for Kara’s body to respond well to the chemo, for minimal side effects, and for our family as we adjust to this new normal.
We serve a faithful God who holds our lives in His hands.
